Lila's baby chicks!

 We are settling in here in Lakeside. We love it so far! Lila got some baby chicks yesterday so she is very excited. So far we've gone to the Birch Aquarium, to the beach, and to the zoo!!

Moving. . . and Other Things

For those of you that don't know, we will soon be Southern Californians. We made the decision to move down to Lakeside, CA where we will house-sit for some of the friends for 6 months! We will arrive to a "ready-made family" of a dog and two cats. Lila is delighted! Also, we will be next door to her cousins (The Dingmans) and best of all. . . (according to Lila) They have CHICKENS!!

Lila is convinced there will be baby chicks there (Lila hasn't had imaginary friends. She has imaginary pets and they are usually "baby chicks.") We told her there needed to be a rooster to have baby chicks so she said, "Well I'm pretty sure they will have a rooster." Haha. We'll see.

So we are doing our best to enjoy Redding with the time we have left here. Our official move out date is April 30th. Since the weather has been nice off and on we have gone to Turtle Bay here in Redding and taken little trips down to the river.

So I will be posting some of those pics for you all to see. I believe this part of the state is the most beautiful part of California!! (Sorry Southern Californians!!)

Cross Eyed Lila

Lila has decided that being cross-eyed is really funny. She crosses her eyes, looks at us, and says, "TWO mommys and daddys!"

Where does this goofiness come from? I was trying to get her to pose to show off her socks she had pulled up to kingdom come.

But, we finally got a cute one. I think it's time for some new "sunny weather" clothes!!

On a different note, my Granny had a stroke yesterday morning. They live in Reno so I am hoping to get up there this weekend. She's doing "okay" but as far as I know she is still in ICU. Mom went up there this morning. I hope she gets better! Doctors are hopeful.

A Saturday Morning Picnic

Here is Lila's picnic. This is what she wanted to do this morning. I asked what she wanted for breakfast and she said she wanted to cook in her kitchen and have a picnic outside. So we did.

Where DID we go? Unfortunately we enjoy looking at other people's blogs rather than writing in our own.

But, just for kicks, here's some pics of us. My, how Lila's grown!

We are still alive and well. Here's a video of our little star! Kara...we tried to get her to say "Kara" but she had just said goodbye to Cayla and couldn't quite figure it out.
